A Case of Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis

Abstract
Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis is caused by the external inoculation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis into skin of a person who already has a significant degree of cell mediated immunity to this organism This form of cutaneous tuberculosis is becoming less common, and in general is following the decline in prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis. Yet, in certain developing countries, and in our own, tuberculosis continues to be a significant medical problem.
A case of Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis affecting 10 years old, female Korean, who has been suffering pulmonary tuberculosis is presented. The skin lesion began 7 years prior, the result of trauma to the thumb, elbow joint, knee joint.
Diagnosis of Tuberculosis Verrucosa Cutis was established by clinical characteristics histopathological and laboratory studies, and review. of literatures were made also.
